During the hearing, the respondents’ attorney stated that I filed a complaint with the NCHRC but that no violations were found, even though the investigation was still ongoing. This either violates the Rules of Professional Conduct or shows they had access to information I wasn’t given.
I was only given three minutes to cross-examine the opposing party, while they spent 10 to 15 minutes questioning me about things I wasn’t qualified to answer.
I submitted the official unfit housing report, which clearly showed the defendant lied under oath and the property was deemed unfit — yet I was still awarded nothing. The arbitrator also filed the award three days after hearing to make it seem like he reviewed the evidence, but the award itself was dated the same day as the hearing.
